Christian Lacroix eclecticism is always interesting to watch. Christian Lacroix is an artisan of fabric, colors and influences. This new Couture collection is no exception either. So vibrant and festive looking, it does not acknowledge the world’s financial state at the moment, which maybe he is trying to present this collection as a distraction.

Born without ears? Lose them in a samurai sword fight? Whatever the case, for those of you who have found yourself both aurally and ocularly challenged, you may want to consider pierced glasses. Pierced glasses are a pair of prescription eyeglasses that stay affixed to your ugly mug via a piercing through the nose. Pretty clever. Not as clever as just having Lasik surgery so you can shoot lasers out of your eyeballs, but hey, laser vision isn’t for everyone. And, incidentally, neither are laser-wangs. We’ve seen plastic bottles being converted to Christmas trees and lamps in the past, but Kumvana Gomani’s artwork is nothing short of stunning. The artist converts trashed soda and water bottles into nature-inspired jewelry bearing shapes of snowflakes and crystalline leaves to radiate green chic bling. Drilling small and neat holes through these forms and then joining them together into brilliant shapes finalizes the recycling process.

This Crazy wire frame jewelry is by Ines Schwotzer, using weaving and braiding techniques. schwotzer is a jewelry and accessory designer who lives and works in the small town of feilitzsch, germany. she has worked as a freelance designer since 1995, creating her own pieces and working for the likes of fashion house chanel. many of her works are done in stainless steel using non-tradition technique she learned through textile background. using thin wire, schwotzer weaves and braids the metal to create delicate works that contrast the coldness of the material.

These photographs are from the Star Trek’s premiere which was held in London’s Leicester Square. And what was it that caught our eye? Well a Pam Hogg catsuit of course. Pam Hogg catsuits tend to be worn by the daring, the rebellious, the ‘edgy’, but night was sported by ex-WAG Claire Merry. At the premiere she posed in all her space age glory. Now this is how a relatively unknown can become “known” just because of a single outfit. Whether you love or hate the look, you have to applaud her for committing to it. It’s a brave woman who dons tight Lycra, thankfully she has a gorgeous figure and good taste in shoes. Claire Merry proved herself a surprisingly dedicated fan at the new Star Trek film’s highly anticipated London premiere last night.
Zoe Saldan has been on our style radar for a while, having been sporting some seriously chic ensembles as she’s travelled the world in promotion of Star Trek.
The boys were the real stars though, they looked sublime. Whilst Chris Pine (Captain Kirk), and Zachary Quinto (Spock) looked so gorgeous that we’re actually excited to see the sci-fi flick. Pine’s three piece suit was spot on, and we’re loving Quinto’s skinny tie.

Adidas Originals and Life lounge have teamed up to create some bodies of work created by fictional sneaker aficionado, Herr Fritz Turner. the project is named as All Day I Dream About Sneakers, is inspired by the brand’s avid creeds of ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ and ‘Celebrate Originality’. The story is, is that Turner kept journals with designs for sneaker that were way outside of the realm of traditional design, and now, those designs have come to life in a limited edition book filled with images of those designs.
