French designer JC de Castelbajac has taken Lego to the high fashion catwalk again, however this time his references are as varied as African tribal accessories, holidaying in the south of France and iconic 80’s designer, Moschino’s spliced pocket jacket. He introduces Lego’s to the high fashion world with these Lego inspired New Era fitted hats. The fitted hat features a 80’s inspired color-scheme, and a mohawk all composed from Lego’s. The idea and creativity of the pieces are very impressive. JC de Castelbajac has taken the classic Casio watch shape and used the iconic Lego primary colours and connectable circular shapes to offer a unique version for today’s audience.

These photographs are from the Star Trek’s premiere which was held in London’s Leicester Square. And what was it that caught our eye? Well a Pam Hogg catsuit of course. Pam Hogg catsuits tend to be worn by the daring, the rebellious, the ‘edgy’, but night was sported by ex-WAG Claire Merry. At the premiere she posed in all her space age glory. Now this is how a relatively unknown can become “known” just because of a single outfit. Whether you love or hate the look, you have to applaud her for committing to it. It’s a brave woman who dons tight Lycra, thankfully she has a gorgeous figure and good taste in shoes. Claire Merry proved herself a surprisingly dedicated fan at the new Star Trek film’s highly anticipated London premiere last night.
Zoe Saldan has been on our style radar for a while, having been sporting some seriously chic ensembles as she’s travelled the world in promotion of Star Trek.
The boys were the real stars though, they looked sublime. Whilst Chris Pine (Captain Kirk), and Zachary Quinto (Spock) looked so gorgeous that we’re actually excited to see the sci-fi flick. Pine’s three piece suit was spot on, and we’re loving Quinto’s skinny tie.

Creating opera-inspired dresses and coats, Italian designers have greeted the global economic downturn with collections that stand out and sparkle. Fashion theory may state that when times get tough, hemlines drop but several top names at Milan’s autumn/winter 2009/2010 catwalk shows have defied this, slashing skirts and dresses mid-thigh and making them glisten. The doyen of Italian fashion, Giorgio Armani, looked to update 1980s fashion with glossy fabrics and shiny black caps and long gloves at his women wear show on Friday.

Calling all beauty junkies, there’s a new pink eye trend on the scene! However, this time I’m talking about coloured eye shadow, not Agyness Deyn who had conjunctivits last fashion week and wore a patch to cover it up so that she could still walk the runways. Back from the 80’s, fuschia shadow has already been spotted at the Paul Costelloe show, Topshop Unique, and both Nars and Lancôme have featured grenadines in their 2009 spring colour collections. I find pink eyes quite captivating if blended well and paired with black liner, but the look certainly isn’t for everyone. Do you think you’d ever buy hot pink eye shadow?
